Hip pain in sport

Just been to a great lecture on hip and groin pain in sport. The pictures above show  two bony problems (Pincer and Cam) which are often seen in sports players, especially in GAA football and hurling. Patients complain of stiffness in the hip after a match lasting a few days, and may even have a limp. This may ease out after a few days, but reoccurs after the next match. They are stiff in the mornings, and often have longstanding tight hamstring and groin muscles.

If this describes you…then something can be done, but don’t leave it too long as there’s only a two year window of help available.
